Solution Designer

This leading University currently has an inflight project to uplift its Identity & Access Management posture and is now seeking an experienced and dynamic Solution Designer.
Your brand-new role will see you work closely with technical teams to build and deliver IAM capabilities, utilising current tools or assessing and implementing new tools as required to meet University’s identity needs.
Key activities
- Collaborate with IAM Architect to design, develop and deliver IAM including designing authentication, authorization, and user provisioning processes
- Translate architectural designs into component-level solution designs
- Develop detailed solution designs for final builds as required
- Integrate IAM solutions with existing systems, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility
- Configure and implement IAM tools and solutions, including but not limited to IGA.
- Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and align with best practices
- Ensure IAM solution comply with regulatory requirements and security policies Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities
- Build non-production environments for testing (where required)
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and operational procedures
Skills, knowledge & experience
- Extensive experience in Identity Access Management, including hands-on implementation and configuration of IAM tools
- Proven experience working closely with Enterprise Architects
- Strong understanding of IAM domains such as Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Ability to translate architectural designs into detailed solution designs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in IAM
- Experience with implementing modern IGA platforms eg. Saviynt, Sailpoint (highly regarded)
