The role does report to our State Service Manager who is based in Brisbane, therefore the Field Service Technician we require will bring a wealth of knowledge in advanced diagnostics and excellent technical expertise.  Your days will be kept busy traveling to customer sites and workshops to work on VOLVO CE and SGLG products. This role is PIVOTAL within CJD, as you will be the face of CJD in the Mackay region.

What you’ll be kept busy with: 

  • Booking work, dealing directly with our fantastic customers and performing the required servicing and repairs on TOP BRAND equipment in Mackay and the surrounding region
  • Troubleshooting electronic, engine, hydraulic, and transmission systems
  • Performing QUALITY WORKMANSHIP with a done right the first-time approach.
  • Liaising with our Product Specialist to assist when you need that extra support with an issue.
  • Ensuring you comply with Safety first at all times.

What you need to get the job done:

  • A proactive attitude toward safety – we want you to get home in one piece
  • Relevant trade qualification, (Volvo Construction Equipment experience highly regarded) 
  • Experience and knowledge with computer-based service diagnostic programs and parts catalogs
  • A positive attitude and smooth communication skills
  • Current driver’s licence because you will be provided a decked-out CJD Service vehicle, along with mobile and laptop
  • Able to travel as you will be required to visit sites and this may lead to an overnight stay (on occasions) 
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A test
  • Aussie working rights
