Preparation Chemist

Full time permanent. Location based in Girraween, NSW. Working hours from 4 pm - 12 am

We are currently searching for a Preparation Chemist to join our high-performing team in Girraween. The Preparation Chemist is responsible for preparing and processing samples for analysis to meet the client requirements within our laboratory.

The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

Receiving, sorting and preparing samples. Assigning tests in accordance with LIMS and preparing log sheets. Performing calibrations of syringes, solvent dispenses and other laboratory equipment.  Ensuring a safe and clean working environment at all times. Adhering to internal quality assurance/quality control standards. Data reporting when required.

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment and will be suitable for individuals who prides themselves in the level of accuracy in their work. In addition, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative and supportive team who are passionate about what they do.

Qualifications

Certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques; or equivalent qualification; or significant laboratory experience.

Drive and commitment to acquire skills and knowledge.  Excellent time management and prioritising skills. Genuine interest in working within a laboratory environment. Working knowledge of MS Office suite. General knowledge about Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
