THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting to the Supply Supervisor, the Warehouse Officer is responsible for the warehouse inventory and data entry or equipment, parts and stock items, electronic filing and accurate despatch of orders. Maintenance and housekeeping of the warehouse and forklift operation to manage the site warehouse facility.

This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 8:6, 8:6, 7,7 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.  

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Store

  • Truck unloading, unpacking and physically checking items against delivery slips / receipt of equipment, parts and stock items into the electronic system.
  • Safe storage of items and correct recording of inventory by description and location in the warehouse.
  • Locating and issue of equipment, parts and stock items to stores orders, including entering and processing the request in the system and issue to internal department.
  • Maintaining inventory and processing stock order refills.
  • Conducting stock takes and reconciling to electronic records.
  • Assisting in the monitoring and control of orders, identifying variances and discrepancy to the Stores Supervisor.

Warehouse

  • Assisting with storage and moving of equipment, parts and stock within the warehouse.
  • Packing and storing items safely, neatly and orderly.
  • General maintenance and housekeeping of the warehouse.
  • Comply with and contribute to safe work practices in the warehouse.
  • Support the Stores Supervisor in improving work flow and efficiency of warehouse storage and inventory control.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current Forklift licence and minimum 2 years experience
  • Current WA C Class Manual Drivers Licence
  • Commitment to safety
  • Previous experience in control of mining inventory and parts
  • Computer skills and ability to maintain an electronic inventory system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of physical work.
