The Role

Reporting to the Goods Inwards Manager, the Senior Team Leader will be responsible for providing an engaging and constructive work environment through
guidance, instruction and direction of staff on their shift.

You will coordinate and undertake multiple functions, primarily focused on improving team capability, maintaining a positive and supportive culture of continuous development, and assisting in implementing new strategies and efficiencies across the department to improve productivity. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Allocate work tasks to the shift.
• Ensure effective management of employee leave entitlements so as to minimise interruption of work, and correctly updating Kronos on time weekly.
• Assist in the rostering and forecasting of labour requirements, recommend changes in equipment and work layout, delivery methods and materinal handling procedures.
• Ensure employees are working within all appropriate supply chain standards for the department, while promoting good house keeping.
• Promote, and contribute to the continuous improvement of current processes, and organisational initiatives.
• Actively contribute and demonstrate commitment to maintaining a culture with the department that is aligned with company values, while maintaining good morale and attitudes.
• In consultation with HR and relevant Managers undertake disciplinary investiagtions, and implement appropriate disciplinary procedures as required.
• Monitor system/software information relating to forklift movements, performance objectives, and waste management.

 Your weekly hours will be:

Monday - Thursday: 6.00am - 2:00pm Friday : 6.00am - 12:00pm 

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• A current Forklift Licence
• 3 years experience in a supply chain/manufacturing environment, and people management.
• Proven Leadership capabilities.
• Understanding and acceptance of personal accountability for Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Ability to communicate with different levels of stakeholders.
• Ability to drive a constructive culture.
• Commitment to coaching and developing team members.
• Commitment to team engagement and recognition.
• Leadership qualifications would be advantageous.
