About the service:

The Head to Health service model is tailored to the needs of the local community and offers a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress. Allowing low risk individuals to identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency Department and gaining access support from trained mental health professional within their community, outside a clinical setting.

Role Overview:

The Clinical Services Manager will have a pivotal role in the overall leadership and management of the Head to Health team in accordance with clinical guidelines, including:

  • Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team to provide primary care and support for all accessing Head to Health
  • Overseeing and contributing to the development and implementation of clinical, financial, administrative systems and billing processes 
  • Ensuring the Head to Health team operates within a framework of continuous quality improvement and risk management. 
  • Facilitating and convening meetings of the Clinical Governance Committee and associated subcommittees. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing a mental health service
  • Demonstrated experience working within a recovery-based model
  • Demonstrated expertise in the management of a multi-disciplinary service delivery team, with the ability to lead the coordination of care for people with complex needs including consultation and engagement with a wide range of professionals/stakeholders. 
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high demand work environment and to exercise judgment and initiative.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance 
  • Current Drivers License
