Shift times

  • Afternoon shift = 2pm – 10pm
    • Initial training for 2 weeks working 10am – 6pm for afternoon shift roles
  • Regular Saturday Overtime available

Duties and responsibilities:

As the Production Supervisor you will oversee areas such as the production, blending, tablet, encapsulation and / or canning lines.  Overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervision and control of the production environment
  • Managing a team of personnel in those areas to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Lead and motivate the production teams to ensure optimal productivity
  • Optimise production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality of all lines, achieving KPI's
  • Continuous improvement in all areas of Safety, Quality, Production, Documentation, Waste
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures working closely with relevant departments such as production, Planning, QA and warehousing
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products in the production areas

 
Hands on Production tasks including:

  • Weighing and measuring raw materials
  • Verification of raw materials to ensure correct quantities have been received
  • Follow batch records and SOPs to meet production targets
  • Conduct quality control checks for in process and finished goods
  • Monitor encapsulation equipment/machinery and report abnormalities
  • Manual handling Occasionally lift and move products weighing up to 25kgs.

 
Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical and / or food manufacturing industries
  • Previous Production Supervisor experience from the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry
  • ERP system experience
  • Experience in leading a team of 5 to 15 staff
  • Proven track record with leading safety and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Possess high attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships right across the business
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles and WHS requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Science/Engineering/Pharmacy desire
  • Be a quick learner and have the ability to multitask
  • Ability to handle up to 25kg
  • Ability to follow strict orders and work systematically
