Join us as a Project Manager where you will be designing authority for medium voltage AIS engineering projects for ABB Electrification Business in Moorebank, Australia. You will be making technical recommendations and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service. This position reports to the Project Management Team Lead, you will ensure successful delivery of multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with specifications and with quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities

  • Resolving technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in Moorebank, Australia
  • Assisting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards, as well as technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals
  • Executing cost-effective project deliverables on time in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements
  • Maintaining a strong network of engineering professionals, and disseminating engineering best practices to aid colleagues’ development
  • Creating and delivering work plans, budgets, and risk assessments
  • Developing your management skills by working with entry-level employees
  • Developing, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools, reporting inefficiencies and identifying improvement opportunities

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechatronics, or a similar field with 8 years plus experience in project execution (technical & commercial)
  • Demonstrated Project Execution experience related to either Power Distribution / Switchgear / Protection / Renewable projects
  • Excellent product knowledge ABB medium voltage equipment, such as AIS, GIS, Fused Contactor, Ring Main Unit, Compact Substations, and protection relays
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies
  • Being able to work with various functional departments, including engineering, project management, supply chain, finance, production, as well as supply factories from different geographic locations
  • Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD, some knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.PM/ Business level engagement in active segments (Data Centre , Mining or Utility / Renewable)
