The Role:
The focus of this diverse role will be to engage, coordinate and manage trades during the building process for Commercial Projects. You will be responsible for the project lifecycle and scheduling, day to day site operations, scheduling of trades and suppliers and continued communication with the Project Manager and Contracts Administrator. The Supervisor will also be responsible for regular project updates and cost oversight as well as ensuring a high level of service is always provided. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of Commercial projects from commencement to completion - Complex & Large Loss Repairs 
  • Onsite Construction Management with a strong focus on project delivery, workmanship and scheduling subcontractor's 
  • Monitor quality audit reports & ensure items are actioned accordingly
  • Engage, coordinate & manage trades during the building process for insurable events in the Brisbane metro area
  • Project Scheduling
  • Engage with stakeholders for selections and approvals
  • Communicate & negotiate with trades to direct the progress of projects
  • Coordinate access to properties as required
  • Attend & contribute stakeholder meetings
  • Complete fortnightly budget reporting on all projects
  • Dispute resolution, as required
  • Collate and provide completion packages including inspections, certificates, Building Surveyor reports & relevant documentation as required
  • Continues Quality Assurance reporting
  • Assist Administration team with Procurement, Scheduling and Invoicing
  • Ensure all company OH&S policies are followed at all times
  • Microsoft Project experience preferred - producing a detailed construction schedule, ensuring the project progresses in line with scheulde and PC dates are met. 

Key Selection Criteria:

  • QBCC Supervisors License required (Open Class Preferable) 
  • Background in commercial construction
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills
  • Relationship building skills and a great work ethic
  • Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities
  • Ability to drive project teams to milestones
  • Computer literacy
  • Understanding of OH&S practices, legislation, regulations, and current market rates/trades
  • Current motor vehicle license
