A full-time Production Manager for a newly established joinery warehouse, part of a well-respected construction company based in North Melbourne suburbs, VIC. For a Warehouse Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Production Supervisor interested in overseeing all warehouse operations and assembling a dedicated team to deliver high end joinery services for their clients.

  • Requires production management and joinery industry experience.
  • Salary depends on experience. 
  • North Melbourne suburbs.

A normal day

  • Supervise the daily operations of the joinery factory, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Manage the entire production process, from site measurements to shop drawings, detailing, and final installation.
  • Coordinate with architects, builders, and clients to ensure all project specifications are met.
  • Order necessary materials, schedule production activities, and manage logistics and transport to ensure timely delivery and project completion.
  • Supervise a small team of 2-3 employees, fostering growth and expansion as  needed, ensuring a collaborative and efficient working environment. 
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet high  standards and project timelines are adhered to.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on project  progress and addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

You will need

  • Prior experience as a production manager. 
  • Experience in joinery or a related field, focusing on high-end residential projects
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and design work
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for quality craftsmanship
  • Experience in coordinating production and installation schedules
  • Ability to manage end-to-end operations, including site measures, shop drawings, detailing, material orders, and logistics
