We have an exciting opportunity for a Museum Lead to serve as an ambassador for our banking client’s unique curatorial experience, engaging with their customers, general public and associated communities to promote and deliver a museum experience that enhances their brand, values and purpose.  This Full Time opportunity is located in the Melbourne CBD and is part of the broader Workplace Experience team located in corporate offices nearby.

This role will have you become the subject matter expert of the museum’s exhibition, delivering a comprehensive curatorial experience about our client’s history to all visitors, making each encounter engaging and educational.

The Museum Lead will manage tour bookings to a daily schedule and event reservations on site from end to end, in coordination with the broader corporate host and hospitality teams, with regular collaboration with the property services and onsite retail banking team, to ensure a safe and compliant environment is provided at all times, for all visitors.

In addition, the role will be responsible for the critical function of collaborating with neighbouring entities and relevant historical and tour guide organisations, as they build and maintain strong working relationships with such groups to ensure all activities are managed and delivered seamlessly (including the delivery of soft services, such as cleaning).

To bring all of this together, the Museum Lead will work with our client’s technology support teams to ensure all audio-visual equipment and content is the museum exhibition is maintained and working at all times.

In addition, the role will be responsible for delivering the unexpected, making each encounter enjoyable, exciting and personal.  As an ambassador for brand principles, culture and values, this role is perfect for someone who embraces an ethos of outstanding service and keeps it at the heart of everything they do.

The Position:

  • Provide a friendly and engaging experience and customer service, meeting all visitor expectations and acting as the face of the client’s brand.
  • Represent ISS as a professional, responsive and committed partner to the success and continuous improvement of the contract.
  • Understand the safety cultures: E.g.: Maintain a Zero Harm Culture / Hazard identification / Near Miss and Incident Reporting / Client-specific safety systems and requirements.
  • Ensure the working environment is safe, functional and well managed.
  • Maintain the assigned commercial site/floors as the corporate showcase to all visitors
  • Ensure all relevant process documents, procedures and listing are accurate and up to date.
  • Follow end-to-end journey in relation to cleaning and reactive maintenance needs raised.
  • Support and drive engagement to all events and activations.
  • Support relevant communities in delivering experiences that are accessible and inclusive.
  • Ensure client’s database data accuracy is maintained and all relevant mailboxes are monitored and managed.
  • Consider sustainability and cost savings in all decision-making

Minimum Criteria:

  • Strong experience in hospitality or customer service role with outstanding track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Experience in delivering and/or hosting events
  • Demonstrated ability managing stakeholder relationships 
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills including MC or public speaking experience
  • Excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to work with difficult situations in a positive manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Sound time management skills, self-motivated, organised, and have the ability to work unsupervised
  • Solution focused team player
  • Able to provide a clear police check dated in the last 3 months and other compliance requirements
