Assistant Project Manager | Construction Planning

Our client, a large complex Queensland Government Department, are currently seeking a proactive Assistant Project Manager for an initial 12-month contract.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience and understanding of the design development and planning phases for large complex construction building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project stakeholder relationships.
- Plan and schedule project timelines.
- Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders.
- Present timely reports and minutes defining project progress, issues and solutions.
- Implement and manage changes to the project scope, schedule and budget.
- Perform risk management actions to minimise project risks.
- Project coordination duties and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Key Requirements:
- A hands-on, organised multi-tasker capable of delivering work with a high attention to detail.
- Proven history of delivering or exceeding the expectations of clients and stakeholders in respect to outcomes, budget and time management.
- Experience working as an Assistant Project Manager/Coordinator within the construction/building industry.
- Experience in co-ordinating the successful delivery of multiple projects concurrently.
- Well-developed skills in report writing and team leadership.
- Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced MS Office and Project skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiating and interpersonal soft skills.
