The Station:

Jubilee Downs Station stretches across 220,000 hectares in the West Kimberley, an hour south or 90km from Fitzroy Crossing. Half the property is black soil river frontage, and the other half is red pindan. The Jubilee homestead is right on the Cunningham River and borders the Fitzroy River offering fantastic spots for the fishing enthusiast. 

The Opportunity:

Harvest Road has an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for a versatile Machinery Operator to join our tight-knit team at Jubilee Downs Station (near Fitzroy Crossing).

This is a key role which will ensure the safe daily operation of vehicles, machinery and equipment including graders, loaders, trucks, and light vehicles.  You will conduct routine checks of vehicles, equipment and machinery including notification to management and mechanical team of defects, issues and incidents. You will also show a demonstrated commitment to safe working practises, environmental sustainability and animal welfare.

*Please note:

  • No dogs are allowed.
  • 4x4 vehicle recommended. Roads not suitable for small cars.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience with machinery including using a grader and loader.
  • Strong focus on safety.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practises and animal welfare at all times.
  • Good mechanical knowledge.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated and hard-working, willing to be part of the Harvest Road team culture.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Possess efficient fitness level.
  • Pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.
  • Current driver’s licence (HC or MC license highly regarded).
