Appointment Pool

Broome Residential College is seeking to establish a pool of Boarding Supervisors - Active Night Shift for appointments to fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of June 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2024 up to the end of June 2025.

Suitable applicants will support and reinforce appropriate values and behaviours of students, and supervise students, fulfilling duty of care requirements in line with Department policy. They will respect and embrace diversity within the student population, and provide and supervise opportunities which support the academic, social, emotional and physical development of students.

Boarding Supervisors will promptly report concerns with student and staff wellbeing, duty of care, occupational safety and health and maintenance matters to senior staff. This role will require suitable applicants to uphold the Public Sector Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct and work in accordance with Department requirements.

Appointments made from this pool will be for night shift positions.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria:

Demonstrated skills and understandings appropriate to the supervision and care of students in a residential setting. Demonstrated capacity to initiate, plan, document and safely lead a wide range of leisure activities for secondary students. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to write plans, pastoral notes and reports; and interact positively with students and parents including those with diverse multicultural backgrounds. Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team. Demonstrated capacity to successfully meet and maintain the required eligibility and training requirements of this position.
