About the service

The Health Independence Program Continence Service is an interdisciplinary team of allied health, nursing and medical staff responsible for providing an expert assessment and treatment service for HIP eligible clients. The Continence Service is available to clients with complex continence issues to support people living in the community and to prevent unnecessary representation to the Emergency Department or admission to Hospital.  

The clinic operates on a Tuesday incorporating medical, nursing, physiotherapy and dietetics and is based at the Health and Rehabilitation Centre, Repatriation Campus.  

About the role

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Grade 3 Continence Physiotherapist to join our HIP Continence Service providing casual and Long Service Leave cover.   

The Grade 3 Continence Physiotherapist will be recognised as a clinical leader in the HIP Continence Service outpatient clinic. The Grade 3 clinician will exercise professional clinical judgement based on detailed knowledge of their area of specialty and ensure service delivery reflects client goals to optimise client independence and functional capacity living in the community.
