Position: Carpenter

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $73,210.80 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Tarneit VIC 3029

Our client is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join their team located in Tarneit, Victoria.

Tasks required include:

• Assemble and secure materials to build frames or supports using hand tools, screws, nails, dowels, or adhesives.
• Construct or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden structures inside buildings using woodworking machines, carpentry tools, and power equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Inspect ceilings, tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to identify any broken or damaged areas.
• Install fixtures and structures such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim using carpentry tools and power tools.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials with rulers, pencils, chalk, or marking gauges.
• Remove damaged parts and repair or replace defective sections of structures using hand tools.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, or plans to determine layout, dimensions, and required materials for projects.

Requirements:

• Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Carpentry
• Diploma of Building and Construction would also be high regarded
• At least two (2) years relevant experience as a Carpenter
• Valid Victorian driver licence.
