City of Parramatta are currently seeking skilled and experienced street sweeper operators to join our growing team to ensure Parramatta’s Public Domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and to promote Parramatta as Australia’s next great city

Permanent Full-Time position Monday-Friday-11:30am - 8:00pm

On a daily basis you will:

  • Drive and operate a variety of plant equipment including street sweepers.
  • Maintain plant & equipment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed.
  • Carry out an agreed program of works to ensure the timely and effective completion of all objectives.

About You: 

The successful candidate should have previous experience in the safe operation and maintenance of plant and Street Sweepers.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a current NSW Driver’s License (Class MR/HR).
  • Hold a current Blue Traffic control ticket, or the ability and willingness to obtain.
  • Possession of a construction industry certificate “White Card”.
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Power line Awareness

What’s on offer:

We are offering a weekly remuneration from $1,224 to $1,347 per week plus 11% Superannuation.

This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Level Allowance.
