The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Estimator to join our Cooling Division in Mackay. This full-time, permanent role has a strong focus on estimating, customer service and providing technical support relating to products and services, to support our Mackay team.

This position would suit a candidate who has a strong administrative and/or mechanical background, supporting a busy workshop or heavy industry services, who is looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to grow their skills and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Produce estimates, generate quotes and proposals for new and existing customers,
  • Contribute to sales planning and production of the sales budget,
  • Be a point of contact for customer queries and requests, providing exceptional customer service
  • Liaise with internal and external clients and suppliers on project statuses and project updates,
  • Work with the production planning team to help schedule incoming and ongoing work,
  • Assist the Regional Manager with data entry, processing and other requirements as required.

About You

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, and keen to take ownership in this position,
  • Previous experience working in mining / manufacturing industry (would be an advantage),
  • Competent computer skills including Microsoft products,
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal,
  • Great data entry skills and attention to detail,
  • Previous experience using Pronto would be an advantage,
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
