ABOUT THE ROLE
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Rigging Field Supervisor to join our team in Sydney, NSW.
As a Rigging Field Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and supporting multiple internal Rigging Teams for Telstra, TPG, Optus, NSWTA and NBN Mobile Upgrade & Construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Build Lead, Senior Rigger, or Wireless Field Supervisor.

The ideal Candidate will have a positive attitude, enthusiastic demeanour and a solutions mindset. Someone who is happy to “muck in” and do what it takes to ensure sites are delivered on time, within budget and most importantly adhering to H&S requirements.
You’ll speak the Rigging and Telecoms language and be able to identify potential challenges before they arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Management:

  • Supervise and support multiple internal Rigging Teams involved in Telstra, TPG, Optus, NSWTA and NBN Mobile upgrade projects, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Apply hands-on experience as a Build Lead, Senior Rigger, or Wireless Field Supervisor to guide and support Rigging Teams effectively.
  • Willing to contribute and support Rigging Teams with Crane Lifts, EWP’s and other challenging activities.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient project execution.
  • Utilize experience as a Build Lead, Senior Rigger, or Wireless Field Supervisor to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines.
  • Effectively determine the number of Riggers required and timescales for each specific site by reviewing site design drawings.
  • Able to communicate and liaise effectively with Building Managers and Landlords to ensure they understand and appreciate the work that is being completed.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate specialized expertise in Wireless Rigging techniques. Varied project experience across the key vendors: TPG, Telstra, Optus, NSWTA or NBN.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of wireless technologies, including antennas, cabling, and associated equipment, gained through experience as a Build Lead, Senior Rigger, or Wireless Field Supervisor.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of project tasks.
  • Share examples of successful collaboration with internal that resulted in project efficiency and success.
  • Build excellent relationships with Field Services Director, Project Managers, Rigging Teams and Technicians to ensure clear and concise communication and smooth site operations.

Safety and Quality Assurance:

  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain the highest quality standards throughout the wireless construction phase.
  • Implement measures to ensure technical integrity while promptly addressing unexpected issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Build Lead, Lead Rigger, or Wireless Field Supervisor in Telstra, TPG, Optus, NSWTA or NBN Wireless Projects.
  • Specialized expertise in Telecoms Rigging with exceptional understanding of vendor build standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of wireless technologies, including antennas, cabling, and associated equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Experience in coordinating and communicating effectively with Rigging teams.
  • Commitment to safety and quality assurance in the construction phase of wireless projects.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability for travel as necessary.
  • Certifications in wireless technologies and project management are a strong plus.
