Our tech services provide mechanical sampling design and commissioning for all bulk particulate materials.

Job Description

Searching for Sampler to be part of the Team in Newcastle. This will be on a casual basis and training will be provided for the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Assist leading hand in daily activities.
• Ensure operations are performed in accordance with instructions.
• Carry out routine clerical functions in respect to time sheets, shift reports and job records.
• Manual Sampling of trains, ships, stock-piles/ stopped belts.
• Operate Mechanical sampling systems.
• Help to provide routine sampling and sample preparation instructions.
• Assist in the training of trainees.
• Take and prepare samples as required.
• Identify, store and dispatch samples as required.
• Carry out physical tests e.g. size analysis, hard grove grind ability index, total moisture, etc.
• Carry out general equipment maintenance.
• Check weights, calculations, cleanliness of equipment, etc., when results obtained do not conform to expectations.
• Assist in the laboratory as required.

Qualifications

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Two years experience in sampling and shipping (preferred)
• Knowledge of preparation standards desirable. 
• Customer service orientated
• Good organizational and communication skills  
• Strong analystical skills
