Overview

Our commercial client is seeking to engage a PMO Lead on a permanent basis. As the PMO Lead, you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring Project Managers as well as ensuring that project management practices are standardized, projects are executed efficiently, and organizational goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
• Ensure consistency in project management practices across the organization.
• Prioritize and manage the project portfolio to balance resource allocation and strategic importance.
• Implement governance structures for project oversight and decision-making.
• Monitor project performance and adherence to standards and processes.
• Identify and address resource constraints and bottlenecks.
• Develop capacity planning strategies to ensure the availability of necessary skills and resources.
• Provide training and development programs for project managers and teams.
• Mentor and support project managers in their roles and responsibilities.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project success.
• Generate regular reports on project status, progress, risks, and issues.
• Ensure integration of risk management practices into project planning and execution.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and address their needs and concerns.
• Serve as a point of contact for project-related inquiries and escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function.
• Oversee the budgeting and financial management of projects.
• Implement cost control measures and financial reporting processes.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience, with at least 3-5 years in a PMO leadership role.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
• Proficiency in project management software 
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage resources, and drive strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and project requirements.
