About the role
John Fawkner Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Grade 2 Dietitian to join our Allied Health team on a part-time basis, Friday's and another day of your choice on a 12-month maternity leave contract. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including gastrointestinal surgery, oncology, haematology, general medical, ICU, cardiac and orthopaedics and work as part of a strong and encouraging multidisciplinary team.

John Fawkner Private Hospital has a long-established tradition for providing quality healthcare to our local community, the veteran community and patients travelling from regional northwest Victoria.

As a Dietitian your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing evidence-based nutritional assessment and management of patients
  • Demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and best practice dietary prescription
  • Contributing to the multidisciplinary care of our patients
  • Involvement with both inpatient and outpatient services

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
  • Current member of Dietitian Association of Australia
  • Minimum 2 years' acute hospital experience
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Proven excellence in customer service delivery
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence-based practice
  • Authority to Work in Australia
