Salary: $73,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking an experienced full-time Baker to join their team located in Bulimba, Queensland.

Relevant duties and responsibilities

• Conduct pre-production checks to ensure equipment cleanliness and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations;
• Inspect the quality of raw materials, including flour, yeast, and other ingredients, and weigh ingredients accurately for recipes;
• Perform tasks such as kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping dough and pastry goods to produce consistent and high-quality products;
• Prepare pastry fillings according to recipes, ensuring proper consistency and flavour;
• Monitor oven temperature and product appearance to determine optimal baking times and ensure uniform baking results;
• Coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products to maintain production efficiency;
• Glaze buns and pastries and decorate cakes with cream and icing to enhance their visual appeal;
• Operate machines used to roll, mould dough, and cut biscuits, ensuring proper functionality and safety;
• Empty, clean, and grease baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment to maintain cleanliness and extend equipment lifespan.

Required Qualifications

• At least a relevant AQF or equivalent Certificate IV; or
• At least a relevant AQF or equivalent Certificate III plus two (2) years of full-time experience; or
• At least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualification.

Required Experience

•  A minimum of two (2) years of full-time relevant experience as a Baker
