Ecolab is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our ANZ Procurement Team based in Sydney. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for assisting the ANZ Procurement Manager in all aspects of sourcing and negotiations with suppliers. The selected candidate will own and deploy the Sourcing Strategy for the assigned spend at a regional level, aiming to ensure supply at the best possible TCO.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Act as business owner for your assigned categories, defining and executing sourcing strategies.

Improve reliability, get competitive pricing, seek for technical and commercial opportunities, reduce complexity.

Applies the Total Delivered Cost (TDC) process and tools, from definition to implementation, to build and reinforce a best-in-class supply that meets the company goals.

Keep a global mindset, benchmarking regional strategies within the global sourcing team; leverages the Ecolab global scale to add value and maximise benefits.

Lead saving projects or other initiatives to achieve team targets. Collaborates across RD&E, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Sales to ensure action plans and project milestones are met.

Develop business continuity plans and risk assessments. Investigates, develops, and drives actions to remedy supply disruptions and constraints. Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholders.

Build and maintains expert knowledge of respective categories and innovations. Jointly works with the business to address questions and needs surrounding suppliers, markets, materials, and services.

Technically, you will ideally have:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field is preferred

Academic qualification in Sourcing and/or Negotiation

Proven background of achievement in Procurement

Technical and/or experience in manufacturing processes is ideal

Procurement knowledge and strategic mindset

Strong problem solving and critical thinking

Adaptative negotiator with demonstrated experiences in different situations

Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills that are critical in a multi-functional environment

Demonstrate drive, be results oriented and have a passion for achievement
