About the Company/Role:
Based in Western Sydney, our client is a specialist in the development and manufacture of a range of construction materials and undertakes projects designed to provide innovative solutions for specific applications. The R&D Technician support and assist the R&D Chemists. They will perform general laboratory work and maintenance of machines and equipment.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Assist R&D/TSD in qualifying new products with relevant standards
  • Implement tests for new products
  • Help monitor/test new products launched into market
  • Assist the R&D team in validating reported defective products
  • Assist the R&D chemists in evaluating lab batches and production trials

Skills & Experience:

  • TAFE certification or Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or related
  • Experience working within a fast-paced laboratory
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and quality control requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy and proven ability to keep diligent records
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects
