PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Provide delivery and support as required in the key operating areas of the Protective Electronic Security: Technical Support, Asset Management Planning, Security System Administration, Electronic Security Planning, System Design, Project Quote Review and Acceptance, System Setup and Contract Management and Security Strategic Planning,
 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide expert input in the electronic security asset strategic planning, including preparation and management of the asset management plan. Provide support in planning security systems, preparation of electronic maps, assist with project management for maintenance, minor works and projects. Assist in analysis of data as required.
  • Ensure the setup and record keeping of communications equipment to maintain operations.
  • Ensure the programming, set up and commissioning of Alarm/Access control systems, CCTV systems and modem configuration.
  • Provide input to site security risk assessments, including reporting of findings and recommendations.
  • Provide support to the management of Security Contracts, including input into development and assessment of security tenders, assist with monthly budgeting and account reconciliation.
  • Carry out investigations and follow-up actions arising out of incidents.
  • Provide timely advice and support to resolve issues and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Updating and maintaining Electronic Site files including site plans, Forcefield maps and drawings.
  • Provide back up support for Security System Administrator, including data entry, data retrieval and support of service technicians in field.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Tertiary qualifications with minimum Cert IV in Electronics/Electrical Trades (Security).
  • White/Green card for access to construction areas.
  • Cabling Registration.
  • ForceField/WMS and Tecom Challenger Certification.
  • Extensive experience in electronic security industry with demonstrated ability to prepare accurate and detailed documentation, including research reports, technical specifications, and asset management planning documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of ForceField/WMS, Challenger, intrusion detection systems and CCTV, communications systems.
  • Proven experience in security risk assessments, electronic security design and electronic security project management.
  • Working knowledge of the Management of Electronic Security Services Contracts (Monitoring and Electronic Security Maintenance)
  • Medium/Advanced competence with MS Office software, including Excel, Word, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Experience as an Electronic Security Risk Management Consultant.
