Our Federal Government Client is seeking an experienced DevOps/SysOps Engineer to assist in the delivery of key projects on a major program of work.

The successful candidate is expected to hold an active Baseline Clearance and be available to start in mid-July.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define, develop and document the existing automation technologies to enhance the system’s build, test and deployment capabilities.
  • Assist the application development teams with the development and maintenance of DevOps continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
  • Perform system administration functions including platform, middleware & software installation & configuration, network configuration, logging and observability configuration, troubleshooting, root cause analysis & issue resolution, application deployment monitoring, and alerting.
  • Identify and support the implementation of further opportunities for automation within the product development process to improve and streamline service delivery.

Essential criteria:

  • Extensive experience in developing automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and scripting tools like PowerShell.
  • Experience in administering applications in one or more of Java, Microsoft.net, Oracle-Deployed applications (WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Database, Access Manager etc.).
  • Experience in performing system administration functions for enterprise applications, platforms, or COTS products. This includes configuration, installation, configuration, performance tuning of Oracle platforms and server administration tasks such as configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience in configuring, monitoring, and optimising services for the Microsoft Azure platform.
