We love what we do here and are looking to recruit a Support Worker for our Housing Support Services based in Perth.

The role Support Worker

Our Housing Support Services, support customers with a variety of disabilities.

We are recruiting a Support Worker, to assist our customer on a one-to-one basis, with her daily living routine, in her own home & wider community.

You will enable independent living, providing personal care, medication & mealtime assistance, not only offering one-to-one care but support to attend appointments & social events of her choice.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a skill or passion to share such as baking, music or photography if you love it, this will shine through to the people you support, giving them a taste of new experiences whilst learning new skills.

What you need to know  

Location:  Our work is in our daycentre & community support services (based in our customers own homes in Perth town centre), all coordinated from our hub in Upperspringland Campus, Isla Road, Perth, PH2 7HQ.

This is a fixed-term position until May 2025.

Drivers preferred but not essential , whilst we welcome applications from drivers, we can consider non drivers. If you do need to go out and about with our customer for that dinner and cinema trip, your costs are covered.

Capability Scotlands benefits:

A generous salary of £24401.52 FTE / £12.00 ph (dependent on qualifications & length of service) Where nightshifts are available, we offer a generous rate of - £12.00 (dependent on qualifications and length of service) To help you achieve this qualification, we offer a fully funded SVQ a qualification which is yours for life. Most services offer, set 2, 3, 4 and 6 weeks rolling or monthly rotas so you always know when you are working and can plan life outside of work. 32 days holidays per year, increasing to 37 with service.
