WHS Analyst

The Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion, QIC is seeking an Analyst to join our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team on a permanent full-time basis. As part of the WHS team, you will engage with a variety of internal stakeholders, supporting our corporate teams through governance, executive reporting, system improvements and maintenance of the WHS Management System. 

This is an entry level role for someone who has completed relevant qualifications or has some form of WHS experience and is looking to further develop their safety career in a well-established organisation.

Key Responsibilities: 

Support the review of WHS standards and associated documents as directed.  Assist with the annual WHS audit program and any additional audit/assurance activities. Support the preparation for and maintenance of relevant ISO accreditation and re-certification.  Develop and prepare performance reports/dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders using Power BI. Assist with the development, implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of QIC’s WHS Management System.  Maintain the WHS intranet page and prepare communications as required.  Work with key internal stakeholders to troubleshoot system issues, support changes/enhancements and develop solutions to achieve timely resolutions.  Proactively identify and action opportunities for improvement in system and reporting processes. 

About You  

Certification or tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent degree or work experience.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.  Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines.  High attention to detail, results focused and commitment to getting the right outcome.
