Betfair Australia is on the lookout for an analytical and motivated Data Analyst - Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Marketing team and wider business by providing value-add digital, campaign and business insights and reporting, as well as managing data flows between various Martech platforms, the Customer Data Platform (Segment) and our data warehouse (Snowflake). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced world of online sports betting, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the success of a market leader.

Requirements

What you will bring

  • Relevant degree in related discipline
  • Aligned experience in a similar role (at least 4 years)
  • Exceptional analytical skills, in particular using SQL
  • Well-developed experience and knowledge of common digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook etc.) and reporting
  • Excellent consulting and internal customer service skills
  • An interest in marketing automation and the passion/drive to learn more


The below is great, but not critical

  • Solid knowledge of Braze or other customer engagement platforms
  • R skills, including R Markdown and Shiny, or strong knowledge in another analytical programming language e.g. Python
  • Knowledge of experimentation fundamentals
  • A love of sport and/or racing

Some tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Be the lead for data activation and automation within Braze and the CDP, supporting the lifecycle team.
  • Managing data integrations between all Martech platforms, working as a partner with the Tech team.
  • Supporting improvements to our tagging and tracking, ensuring best practices are used across the business and there is an appropriate level of data availability for reporting.
  • Developing a roadmap for current and future digital analytics/marketing technology projects by engaging with business leaders, understanding key problems, and devising solutions
  • Seeking out ways to develop and innovate marketing automation processes.
  • Leading all reporting and target setting, and manage needs of senior stakeholders across general marketing, campaign reporting and individual team performance.
  • Proactively seeking areas of analysis, growth opportunities and customer identification in line with the business’ acquisition and customer lifecycle funnel strategies.
  • Assisting the wider Analytics team with any requested insights and reporting, including business performance and experimentation set up and reporting.
  • Supporting development of broader Data & Analytics strategy.
  • Be a leader within the data community, finding ways to bring data users closer together and improve ways of working.
