With over 20 years experience in boulder wall engineering & construction. SANSTONE ENGINEERING PTY LTD is currently looking to expand our business, and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic civil engineering draftsperson to join and lead our new team to grow together with the company and team.

We are a distinguished retaining wall services offer comprehensive solutions for customer landscaping needs. We specialise in designing, engineering, and constructing various types of retaining walls, including sandstone walls, concrete sleeper walls, and more.

Role Description:

1.      Coordinate and support multidisciplinary 3D designs, with a focus on water and wastewater mains.

2.      Develop conceptual and detailed civil drafting adhering to statutory requirements and technical specifications.

3.      Prepare comprehensive design documentation for drainage, sewer, water reticulation, and associated infrastructure.

4.      Identify potential risks and opportunities in utility design and planning, including protection and relocation of water, telecommunication, gas, and power systems.

5.      Utilize 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) applications for data analysis and civil project visualization.

6.      Collaborate closely with fellow designers and engineers within multidisciplinary teams to ensure precision and meet project deadlines.

7.      Ensure alignment of documentation with related disciplines such as planning, surveying, traffic management, electrical engineering, and landscaping.

8.      Conduct site inspections and oversee maintenance activities coordination.

9.      Gather pertinent information from specialized analysis reports.

10.  Estimate project costs and monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

11.  Perform self-assessment of design drawings, models, and calculations against established standards, codes, and internal protocols.

12.  Maintain meticulous documentation for all civil projects.

Role Requirements:

1.      Proficiency in industry-standard software operations, drafting methods, and general engineering workflows

2.      Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards

3.      Contribution to a positive and collaborative work environment through knowledge sharing and learning from colleagues

4.      Strong commitment to safety, with experience and proficiency in safety procedures

5.      Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality

6.      Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

7.      At least 3 years of relevant experience
