We are hiring at ValPay for a Sales Executive - F&B Payments to join our rapidly growing payment solutions platform ValPay in Australia

As a Sales Executive - F&B Payments at ValPay, you will be a key contributor to our expanding payment solutions platform, specifically within the Food and Beverage industry. ValPay, a prominent player in payment processing, is committed to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Here is a little window into our company: ValPay is an all-in-one payment solution tailored to empower our partners' software platform. Its omnichannel payment platform enables software vendors to accept payments across multiple verticals (e.g., car rental, transportation, travel, healthcare, retail), driving payment solutions for brands globally.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane, working in a hybrid work model from our offices

What your day will look like:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with small to medium-sized business owners
  • Work closely with ValPay colleagues in Customer Service, Underwriting, IT, Sales Support, and other departments to onboard new business
  • Manage your pipeline and day-to-day tasks/appointments using Salesforce
  • Prepare presentations and proposals
  • Educate merchants and business owners on the payment processing industry
  • Maintain regular communication with your sales leadership
  • Closing sales of our payment processing services to meet expected minimum requirements
  • Compensation will be based on commissions

About You:

  • 2+ years of business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferred)
  • Valid current driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • Must exhibit a hunter mentality, professional demeanor, impeccable integrity, and a high sense of urgency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or heavily experienced in a related field desirable
  • Be able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Possess the ability to self-source leads through a combination of prospecting, cold-calling, and networking
  • Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive to achieve personal goals
  • You align with our four core values, and you are simply a good human
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Previous experience working in a sales role within payment solutions, financial services, hospitality software sales, or similar is highly desirable
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Australia
