About the role:

Knauf Gypsum is looking for an experienced Trade Store Driver - Operator, to join our high performing team in Woodville North, SA.

Reporting to the Trade Store Manager, this fulltime role is responsible for the safe operation of a company truck, making customer deliveries to various sites and locations in the Adelaide region. This role involves manual handling of plasterboard and associated products.

There is also a requirement to work in our Trade Store warehouse as a Forklift Operator, dependent on delivery schedules. This would include picking of orders, loading/unloading trucks, and general warehouse duties.

Applicants must be reliable, adaptable, and physically fit. You will have demonstrated experience as a truck driver and forklift operator and be always committed to safety.

This is predominantly a manual handling position.

Some of the role responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service through delivery of goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Diligence with paperwork, to ensure order/delivery accuracy
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders (customers, drivers, team members) in a positive and constructive way
  • Maintain operational equipment and report any faults or damage to management
  • Ability to hand unload materials off truck while maintaining good manual handling techniques
  • Make-up orders of plasterboard and associated products
  • Assist with stock take / inventory counts as required
  • General warehouse duties, housekeeping and any other duties

Candidate requirements:

  • MR license (mandatory), Heavy Rigid truck license (beneficial)
  • Forklift license (mandatory)
  • Good understanding of Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements
  • Competent in load restraint
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Safety mindset and can-do attitude
  • Previous experience as a delivery truck driver
  • Ability to handle plasterboard sheets and associated products
  • Ability to start early (Mon – Fri)
