We are currently seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our NSW Operations Team on a permanent basis. 

The role of Trainer and Assessor will be based in our Mt Thorley office with the occasional site visits. 
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to.

  • Provide functional training advice & expertise to personnel across the Business Unit and/or Project.
  • Provides training support services directly to internal and external customers.
  • Prepare training information into reports to meet reporting requirements.
  • Creates, develops, and implements improved training processes.
  • Ensure all training processes and activities comply with relevant legislation and company policy.
  • Capture and analyse qualitative or quantitative training data to identify, research and address training needs.
  • Deliver programs and workshops; particularly internal systems training and assist to coordinate training across the Business Unit.
  • Establishes professional networks with training colleagues across industry and professional associations.
  • Works closely with Project/Operations Managers and Project training teams

What you will bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in supplying services to the industrial maintenance or resources industry is highly desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is essential.
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Must hold High Risk Workers Licence – LF, WP, Rigging and C6 & Scaffolding is desirable.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian Training competency HSE legislation, mining legislation and industry standards combined with strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) 
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • An innovative approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and successful delivery methods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver a message effectively.
  • A proactive, motivated mindset and someone who thrives when working under pressure.
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence – HR
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
