The Role:

We are looking for a professional Engineering Technologist with a willingness to tackle any technical challenge and come up with innovative solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, technicians and our clients to ensure projects meet design, safety and operational standards. The main duties the candidate should undertake:

• Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify and repair electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements
• Design and layout of electrical installations and circuity on switch gear, cabling systems and motor control systems
• Analyse and modify new and existing engineering technologies to increase efficiency and reduce expenses
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop engineering solutions that meet project requirements and customer needs
• Examine project change requests and advise on related engineering matters
• Ensure safety processes and comply with all local electrical safety rules
• Keep up to date on advances in technology for engineering and propose new ideas to enhance and advance current procedures and methods

The Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of Engineering, Technology or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience as Engineering Technologist
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
