To provide specialist O&G services based at CGH Sale and outreach services as required. Provide leadership for junior medical staff, midwives and nurses to improve quality of care through participation in continuing education, peer review and CGH clinical governance activities; and to promote seamless operation of the service through engagement via the O&G clinical group. Up to 2.0 FTE, full time and part time roles considered. 

Duties

Initiating and being responsible for the clinical care of obstetric and gynaecological patients; including inpatients, antenatal clinic, emergency department and other areas of CGH. Support the implementation of the CGH Maternity Services Plan including development of a woman-centred model of care based on the National Childbirth Association guidelines and informed by women in consultation with other stakeholders. Providing clinical leadership within the unit, working collaboratively with other clinicians and senior nursing, midwifery and allied health staff.

About you 

Primary medical qualification registered or registrable with the Medical Board of AustraliaFellowship of the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (or assessment by the college that the position holder is suitable for the position) this is a must for the applicant to be considered.A Police Record Check regarding any criminal record will be required prior to finalisation of the appointment and updated every three (3) years.A mandatory Working with Children Check will be required for this role.You are required to comply with the Employee Health Screening and Immunisation Policy, which, depending on the role you perform in the organisation will require you to provide evidence of mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including COVID-19 vaccinations) prior to commencing employment, and continue to participate in on-going immunisation programs.
