Six Degrees Executive is recruiting an AO8 Manager for a large state government agency whose division is currently developing a philanthropic framework aimed at facilitating the attraction of philanthropic funding for projects. Additionally, it seeks to adapt to the changing dynamics of the philanthropic market, enabling a more future-oriented approach to funding.

The opportunity:

In this position you will report to a Senior Director where your primary responsibility will involve spearheading the coordination of activities necessary to advance the ongoing development of the philanthropic framework. This entails overseeing and managing various tasks, processes, and stakeholders involved in shaping the framework. It also involves ensuring that all components of the framework are strategically aligned with the organization's objectives and priorities. Your leadership will be essential in driving the framework forward, from its conceptualisation to its practical application.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with external consultants engaged to provide expert advice and assistance into the development of the framework. This will initially involve reviewing and providing input into the report being prepared for approval to this divisions board of management. Develop a detailed understanding of the key decisions required as part of this approval and all the steps required to implement the framework including identifying responsible areas/ representatives from both within this department and across Government. Establish a working group led by this division, with the appropriate senior representative from across the department, connected services and central agencies to provide input into the process leading up to the approval required by the divisions board management and ELT. It is expected that this working group will also provide input into key milestones required when implementing the framework. Coordinate consultation across the system with the appropriate touch points and channels at the appropriate times. Lead development of briefing materials required for key stakeholders including Director General, division board of management and ELT. Subject to the approval of the divisions board of management and ELT, lead the implementation steps working closely with the external specialist. Be the key point of contact for any enquiries in relation to the framework from key stakeholders, in close coordination with the DDG. Essential requirements for this role:
Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, consultation, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all levels. Commitment to developing rapid understanding of the key tasks required to continue the development of the philanthropic framework (and its implementation subject to approval).
