Electrical Designer required to join Ventia’s Critical Infrastructure Telepower Team in Stapylton QLD. This permanent full-time position offers hybrid working conditions and flexibility for work life balance.

About the Role
You will assist in the development of electrical detailed designs, produce cost estimates of materials and labour, assist the construction team during the construction of projects and update database and as built drawings.
- Site surveys and investigations
- Prepare pricing and design for projects
- Prepare bill of quantities and tender cost estimates
- Interpreting CAD drawings
- Report writing
- Developing and nurturing business relationships
Required Skills and Experience
Ideally you will have field-based experience, and have
- Previous experience as Electrical Engineer / Designer
- Technical fluency on low voltage and DC power
- Knowledge of ISO9001, OH&S legislation / guidelines and environmental legislation / licensing
- Sound computer skills (MS Access, MS Power Automation and Power Apps desirable)
- Current drivers licence and the ability to work away from home when required

The ability to develop technically fit for purpose solar and battery designs for the commercial market and proficient knowledge of the solar industry and related regulations and requirements; and a basic understanding of LV/HV AC electrical systems is a highly desirable skillset for this role.
