About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allied Health team as a Senior Physiotherapist - Paediatric Oncology where you will be responsible for:

  • Provision of specialist physiotherapy clinical services for patients in the paediatric oncology unit of the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN).
  • Development, coordination, and implementation of the “Exercise Medicine” program for paediatric oncology patients.
  • Ensure the provision of safe, efficient, and optimal care through physiotherapy interventions.
  • Support the continuous improvement of physiotherapy services within the oncology unit.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, which entitles unlimited registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • At least 2 years clinical experience in physiotherapy or exercise management in patients within an oncology unit
  • Experience in clinical research and/or experience in incorporating research into clinical practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Commitment to the principles of person and family centred care with a strong consumer focus to service delivery
  • High level knowledge related to conditions requiring oncology as a management intervention and the related or associated Physiotherapy management of these conditions
