Front Bar Attendant

THE JOB

We are looking for bright and engaging Front Bar Attendants to join the team in our bustling sports bar at the South Eastern. This casual position requires availability on nights and weekends, approx. 20 hours a week, the ideal second job. Previous experience with TAB/Keno operations is essential, updates to training certificates can be provided. 

As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of patrons, building relationships and creating memorable experiences for them. The vibrant atmosphere, lively conversations, and sense of community make working in our front bar an incredibly rewarding experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons in the front bar and dining areas
• Take orders and serve beverages and food items promptly and efficiently
• Operate the TAB and Keno systems, including accepting bets, processing payouts, and providing assistance to customers
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, including the bar and dining tables
• Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have evidence of their Responsible Service of Alcohol (SA). They will have a friendly and approachable character with excellent communication skills and initiative. 

• Follow all food safety and liquor licensing regulations
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
• Proactive and reliable, with a strong work ethic
• TAB & Keno Experience/Training (essential)
