Client & Engineer:

 
An engineering company that works within the heavy industrial space (mechanical, structural, civil) is looking to hire a Design Draftsperson to produce Inventor Designs. 

Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager you will be required to combine your engineering skills with practical experience to produce 3D design solutions for your dedicated portfolio of clients. 

 
Key Responsibilities:

Within this role, you will clarify and improve 3D designs by liaising with internal sales teams, external suppliers, EPCMs / end clients, logistics departments, aftermarket professionals, and manufacturing and production teams.
 

Job:

• Evaluate customer specifications and determine solutions to improve their projects
• Produce Structural Drafts and Mechanical Designs with AutoCAD and Inventor. 
• Mechanical Conveyor Design, Component & Machined parts design
• Drafting of tanks, P&ID's and more   
• Structural Steel fabrication designs, both new design and updating existing drafts (pipework, roofing, stairs, walkways, platforms).
• Learn to utilise Project Planning Tools (MS Project to maintain Gantt charts that assist with the efficiency of production, manufacturing, design, and drafting)
• Ensure projects comply with Australian standards and codes

To apply you will have:

• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to evaluate a sales brief and produce 3D CAD designs 
• At least 5 years of design experience
• Excellent 3D design and detailing skills - Inventor or Solidworks 
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Ability to record own BOM’s

 
Salary:

Our client offers competitive remuneration packages, they vary with regards to experience, $95,000 to $110,000 + Super.
