The opportunity to join our team

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will play a key role in ensuring a sound risk and compliance culture, and stronger risk outcomes for Insignia Financial. This role will be primarily focused on managing and supporting business units in embedding and operating the frameworks, with a particular focus on the Marketing & Enablement functions and assisting the Enterprise Risk Management team to create and oversee robust governance risk and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist to build a strong and highly regarded Risk Management team.
  • Help drive and maintain a strong and resilient culture of risk and compliance, which is embedded across the business.
  • Provision of effective Line 2 independent review and challenge.
  • Provision of risk management expertise and best practice advice that is aligned to the businesses’ risk frameworks and risk appetite.
  • Line 2 oversight of business planning activities, cultivating and fostering enduring relationships with the business.
  • Assisting delivery of insightful risk reporting, including to Board and Board Committees.
  • Maintaining existing risk tools within the relevant operational risk & compliance system(s).

What you will bring

  • Experience within consulting services is highly valuable.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance principles and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services sector.
  • An understanding of risks associated with multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social media and traditional platforms.
  • Strong analytical, verbal and report writing skills
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solve in a complex environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to drive behavioural and mindset changes, across all levels within the organisation and build trusted relationships.
  • Actively promote the Risk Management brand through behaviours and cultures as well as through adding value to the business.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline.
