What will you do?

As the National Manager – Creative,  the primary role will be leading and managing the team of creative professionals in the internal creative studio, to align all creative execution briefed to the internal studio team to the Brand visual identity, direction and campaign brief objectives.  Setting and upholding a high standard of creative execution that remains consistent to style guides at all times and integrates seamlessly with the overall brand strategic direction which is developed and set by the external creative agency. You will work collaboratively with the broader marketing team and with the creative agency partners to execute outstanding work on brief, on budget and on time

Leadership

Photography & Video

Drives all photography and video standards for internal studio team execution. 
Supports in execution of most impactful presentation of product for campaign assets through photography, copy and production brief when campaigns are briefed to the internal creative studio.

Campaign direction & management

Oversees and supports art direction of all campaign collateral, adhering to style guides and brand identity for any campaigns briefed into the internal creative studio.
Facilitates and supports in collaboration with marketing and merchandise teams to produce all campaign collateral to a high standard.

Concept development & briefing

Oversees and supports in concept development of campaign elements across all touchpoints as required and briefed by the Brand and Marketing teams into the internal creative studio. Comfortable with working with creative and production agency partners in a support role if campaigns and strategy being led by external agencies.
 

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will possess superior communication skills, adaptable in content and style to the audience and a diverse set of stakeholders. Breaks down communication barriers between others. Encourages candid and open communication among groups. Practices active and attentive listening skills to verify understanding.         

• 7 - 10 years industry experience in an agency, studio or retail brand creative environment in a senior Art Director or entry level Creative Director role

• Experience in stakeholder engagement across multiple disciplines, both internal and external and in working in a support role with external creative agency partners leading the strategic creative direction for the brand     

• Experience in self managed timelines, where juggling multiple timelines & adaptability are key            

• Experience in managing and mentoring team members with less experience     

• Clear understanding on what is “on brand” for Target and a creative taste level that is appropriate for the target audience, Australian families and female shoppers

• Experience in the retail sector, with extensive apparel and soft home category creative experience preferred
