Fitter/Machinist role in Mascot

We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter Machinist to join our clients team based at their workshop in Botany. Mainly workshop based role but may require occasional site works when necessary.

Candidates must have previous experience working in a workshop as Fitter Machinist and at least 5 years experience. 
Ongoing opportunity with possibility of permanent work.

Responsibilities include:

• Manufacture of components using information taken from engineering drawings and samples
• Competent working and operating manual/Centre Lathes, Milling machines, Radial Drills, Band Saws, Circular Saws, Pedestal Grinders and Horizontal Boring machines.
• Cut materials to length.
• Read and complete ITP’s and ITC’s.

To be considered for this position you will:

• Be a qualified and experienced tradesperson Fitter / Machinist
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Must be able to follow task specific instructions.
• Be reliable and punctual. 
• Have good verbal communication skills
• Have an excellent mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team

To be successful in this role you must be motivated and be willing to put in the effort required to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are essential.
