Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality care, housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.

Your new role

We are looking for a passionate candidate who is seeking Part Time employment in the Recreation team within our Head Office in North Melbourne. In this role you will support the overall development of recreation service delivery. Your weekly roster will comprise of 2 days (each 7.5 hours) and will give you the opportunity to undertake various projects including process mapping and reviewing documentation accordingly while building positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across Wintringham to support change management activities.

Your responsibilities and duties will also include:

  • Undertaking recreation project work and tasks that align with current and future organisational initiatives and objectives
  • Supporting the review of recreation documentation to ensure procedures and guidelines accurately reflect current work practices
  • Supporting the recreation team in a range of projects to assist with change management, including internal staff communication flows
  • Assisting the Recreation Manager to review and develop new data and reporting procedures
  • Coverage of Recreation Administration Assistant where necessary.
  • Assisting with implementation of business intelligence or data analysis tools and reporting solutions
  • Working closely with the Quality Manager, Senior and Recreation Coordinators to review and edit policies, procedures and guidelines to reflect the most current and relevant information available

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Minimum of Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure or equivalent qualification
  • An understanding of the Housing and Homelessness Service sector My Aged Care, NDIS and other relevant service systems
  • An understanding of Recreation Principles and the importance of Leisure and lifestyle outcomes, diversional therapy or Recreation therapy
  • Current drivers’ licence (mandatory)
  • Working reliable vehicle (mandatory)
  • An understanding of complex clients with challenging behaviours.
  • Well-developed communications skills and the ability to engage people from varying backgrounds.
  • First Aid Certificate II
