Job Description:

The successful candidate will be maintaining the smooth operation of our equine facilities and equipment. Working with our team, you'll uphold our standards of excellence in equine care while ensuring the safety and comfort of our horses.

Key Duties:

·        Perform routine maintenance checks, repairs, and diagnostics on equine-related machinery and equipment, including horse trailers, tractors, barn machinery, and riding arena equipment.

·        Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement to extend equipment lifespan and minimize disruptions to daily operations.

·        Repair and adjust hydraulic systems as needed.

·        Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equine facilities, including barns, stables, fencing, and arenas, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our horses.

·        Manage inventory levels for equipment parts, tools, and supplies, and order replacements as necessary to support ongoing maintenance activities.

·        Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries to horses, staff, and visitors.

·        Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment service history for future reference and compliance purposes.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with a background in equine-related equipment maintenance. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Relevant certifications. AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical including at least two or

At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
