Our client is a retail marketing & brand development agency with offices in the UK and two in Sydney. They are looking for a junior to intermediate level Graphic Designer to join their team, a flexible working arrangement.

You will be sitting alongside their team of 4 creatives, the successful candidate will be one of a team of five people. The role will comprise bringing large-scale client campaigns to life in-store, working together with the team at a fellow agency and collaboratively with the client, to ensure they are delivering is best in class and have a positive impact on sales. All creative team members will be involved in design ideation, refinement of ideas, and (for some elements) art working on the final product.

The successful candidate will offer their experience in the following:

  • Full Adobe Suite
  • Design capabilities: from scratch or following existing style guides
  • Conceptual ideation (Cardboard print POS solutions / improving what they already have)
  • Strong visualization skills (3D an advantage but not essential)
  • Understanding of the production process – how our ideas translate into 3D cardboard structures
  • Design to Artwork capabilities (all designers will be required to artwork elements, from time to time)

Relevant Experience:

  • You will either be a skilled Junior ready to learn or an already experienced mid-weight designer with around 1-3 years’ agency experience minimum. Client facing experience is a bonus
  • Having worked directly for a Retailer or FMCG brand is a benefit (Supermarket retail experience is a bonus). The successful candidate must understand what comprises great POS and have played an active role in designing Shopper communications
  • A passion for shopper marketing
  • Understanding how big campaign ideas translate through to the point of purchase and all parts of the shopper journey
  • Appreciation of how POS evolves through the shopper journey
  • Ability to create and deliver effective Shopper design and interest in developing strategic understanding creative within retail
  • An innovative approach to instore and experiential
  • The type of work ranges from Seasonal activation; to Christmas; Promotions and Collectables. They also develop bespoke in store campaign for various brands

About You:

  • You will be responsible for developing small campaigns for a large Supermarket (e.g Smaller seasonal campaign / In store event), or contributing to larger campaign development alongside more senior team members
  • You will have a working knowledge of retail POS and enough experience to fill any knowledge gaps quickly
  • You will be comfortable creating presentation documents and presenting their work on to clients (together with the account team who will generally manage the front end)
  • You will be comfortable working with and taking direction from other agencies
  • Warm, approachable. Able to develop relationships with Clients and Client partners
  • Confident: comfortable with speaking up and offering opinions, but with the emotional intelligence to know when an opinion is most valued
  • Strategic: able to rationale design choices with a structured rationale
  • Curious – always looking around at what’s in store and for new ways to improve
  • Collaborative and can do able to work autonomously and willing to get stuck in
  • Comfortable with Google Suite
