About You

You are a Dentist who has -

• 3+ years of experience in an Australian Dental practice.
• Independence in your clinical skills and capable of working within a busy appointment schedule.
• Excellent communication skills, is highly motivated, and is open to learning strategies to help you improve your clinical skills, efficiency, and case acceptance.
• The ability to start with a full appointment book and the ability to practice build.
• Experience fostering long-term relationships with patients, focusing on preventive care and patient education.
• Exceptional clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures.
• Availability to work 5 days per week with some flexible hours on offer to suit your lifestyle and the practice’s requirements.
• A Queensland radiation licence including CBCT and OPG, or are willing to attain this.
• You can start immediately or within the month.

Applicants will:

• Hold current AHPRA registration with no restrictions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from recognised institution.
• Be eligible for a Medicare Provider number.
• Demonstrate relevant experience and/or qualifications.
• Provide evidence of COVID Vaccination.

Our Clinic 

New Atherton Dental Clinic built in 2022 and new Mareeba Dental Clinic opening in 2024.

Use of cutting-edge digital lab equipment including 3D dental printers: - 5-Axis mill and 5- CAD/CAM mill. 

Selection Criteria

SC 1     Bachelor of Dental Surgery and current registration with the Dental Board of Queensland and Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM. 

SC 2     Demonstrated experience working within a cross-cultural environment and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

SC 3     Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of primary health care and the social, economic and cultural factors affecting the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

SC 4     Demonstrated skills in performing comprehensive patient assessments and planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care and other health care strategies.

SC 5     Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team structure.

SC 6     Knowledge of and / or involvement in Quality Improvement processes and RACGP Standards.

SC 7     Knowledge of or ability to acquire knowledge of contemporary human resource management practices including Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Antidiscrimination.
