Who are we looking for?

A diligent and conscientious professional for a newly created Graduate Accountant position based within the broader finance team. As the successful Graduate Accountant, you will provide administration and reporting support to Accountants and Finance Business Partners within the Aged Care Services portfolio.

Having recently graduated, or currently in the final year of your degree in Commerce/Accounting; this role provides a genuine opportunity to expand and apply your technical knowledge while you develop and grow your skills.

What can you expect to be doing?

Assist in delivering accurate month-end journals and reconciliations within agreed timeframes. Contribute to the preparation of regular, timely, and reliable management reports, offering insights into the portfolio's financial performance. Investigate variances against budget, providing analysis of results within agreed timeframes. Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner and Accountant to provide high-level support, analysis, and advice to portfolio leaders, aiding in financial decision-making. Ensure data integrity, process quality, and a controlled environment across relevant systems, meeting external compliance deadlines and reporting requirements.

What do you need to bring?

A degree or working towards a degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with using an accounting software is desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Previous internships or part-time positions in accounting or finance are preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
