About the role

You will lead and provide overall coordination of clinical placements across three campuses for Nursing. You will lead the development of new collaborations with the industry, maintain strong partnerships and improve the quality of overall planning concerning clinical placements within the Nursing discipline at Federation University.

At Level C you will:

provide leadership in developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating courses; undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students; contribute to Clinical Placement processes and managerial decision making; contribute to providing leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of student retention and success strategies; and participate in policy, strategic and planning processes regarding placement activities.

At Level D you will:

make a significant contribution to developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating courses; undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students; provide academic leadership in Clinical Placement processes and managerial decision making; provide leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of student retention and success strategies; provide policy, strategic and planning advice regarding placement activities.

About you

Reporting to the Executive Dean and Director, Academic Operations, you will work independently in the conduct of teaching and research activities and assume a leadership role within the Institute of Health and Wellbeing. You will have demonstrated substantial, and current, Australian based clinical experience in Nursing with a strong industry network in addition to demonstrated expertise in developing clinical and industry programs in Nursing and making managerial decisions.

At Level C you will possess:

national reputation as an outstanding scholar and practitioner; record of research at a national level; and capacity to supervise honours and research postgraduate students.

At Level D you will possess:

national and/or international reputation as an outstanding scholar and practitioner; national or international record of achievement in research and a demonstrated capacity to play a leading role in the Institute’s research program; and significant record of achievement in the supervision of honours, masters and doctoral students.
